Looking for a Grower for our various Greenhouse Locations.
Job Responsibilities:
- Oversee crop production, ensuring optimal plant health and yield.
- Monitor and manage irrigation, nutrition, climate control, and pest/disease control programs.
- Conduct regular scouting and implement Integrated Pest Management (IPM) strategies.
- Work closely with all team members to optimize greenhouse conditions and production schedules.
- Maintain detailed records of crop performance, treatments, and environmental conditions.
- Collaborate with owner to improve growing techniques and efficiencies.
- Other responsibilities/tasks as assigned
Job Requirements :
- Knowledge of Argus Climate and Irrigation System, preferred.
- Diploma in Agriculture or Horticulture
- Health Canada Security Clearance, an asset
- Pesticide License an asset
- Minimum of 1 years grower experience
- Strong professional communication skills both verbal and written
- Excellent time management, decision making and interpersonal skills
- Team player
- Must be able to work independently
- Valid License as travel to various greenhouse locations required
- Position requires Monday- Saturday, Holidays and after hours availability
- Candidate must be able to stand, kneel, bend and walk for extended periods of time
- Grower will be working with various people and cultures
- Spanish speaking considered an asset, but not necessary
- Candidate will be working under hot, humid conditions during summer months
- Candidate must abide by Company policies and procedures pertaining to Health And Safety, Food Safety and Bio security
Pay: $75,000.00-$90,000.00 per year
