Grit Athletics Dartmouth Club is dedicated to fostering athletic excellence and personal growth in young athletes. We are seeking a passionate and experienced Track and Field Coach to join our team and help our athletes reach their full potential.
The Role
We are looking for coaches to lead and mentor athletes in one or more of the following disciplines: Sprints, Hurdles, Long Distance, or Throws. You will work with a diverse group of athletes, potentially ranging from U8 to U20+.
Schedule:
- 2 training sessions per week.
- Each session is 1 - 2 hours in duration.
- Flexibility to provide support during local competitions.
Key Responsibilities
- Program Development: Develop and implement training programs tailored to the needs of individual athletes.
- Mentorship: Provide technical guidance and emotional support during practices and meets.
- Safety & Culture: Ensure the safety and well-being of all athletes while fostering a positive and inclusive training environment.
Qualifications
- Coaching Background: Proven experience coaching sprints, hurdles, distance, or throws.
- Youth Experience: Previous experience working with and coaching children is required.
- Communication: Strong interpersonal skills to effectively engage with athletes and parents.
- Requirements: Must be able to provide a Criminal Record Check and Child Abuse Registry Check (can be obtained after selection).
