Manage the warehouse's operational activities including budgeting, labor scheduling, space and equipment, safety and security, housekeeping, and sanitation. Ensure people, process and technology enable meeting all customer service standards.
As a key role in the region, this position focuses on interpreting standards, collaborating with General Managers (GMs) to ensure audit-readiness, supporting Continuous Improvement Initiatives, and exemplifying company values: Safe, Trust, Bold, Respect, Innovation, and Servant Leadership.
KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Leadership:Manage, train, provide performance feedback and assign duties of direct reports to ensure productivity, efficiency, and effectiveness

Operational Excellence:Enhance and streamline operational procedures,, handling and dispositioning merchandise, and maintaining warehouse inventory

Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with Sales, Inventory Control, and Operations Support teams to ensure optimal product availability and alignment with business needs

Strategic Planning:Developlong-term labour plans based on sales forecasts and management input to align with operational demands

KPI Achievement:Facilitate the achievement of prescribed company Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) regarding cost, productivity, compliance, customer service, profits, and team performance

Safety Compliance:Ensure facility/facilities adhere(s) to health, safety, and environment regulations and food safety requirements. Promote a culture of safety and proactive risk mitigation among team members

Analytical Insight:Analyze operational reports to identify trends, recommend improvements, and support data-driven decision-making

Build Support:Build and maintain partnerships with other departments (e.g., Safety and Compliance, Food Optimization, Finance, HR, Sales, Continuous Improvement, etc.)
ADDITIONAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS (KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, ABILITIES)

5 years warehouse operations or direct warehouse management experience, or similar experience

Experience with implementation of Compliance requirements (Health and Safety, Food Safety and/or related standards)

Experience with Continuous Improvement initiatives

Experience with Warehouse Management System (WMS)

Demonstrated management skills with emphasis on guiding and developing a team, customer service, communications, and planning

Ability to effectively present information to customers, clients, and employees of the organization

Proficient computer skills, including Microsoft Office Suite

Ability to work in temperatures as low as -20 Fahrenheit/-25 Celsius in cold storage sites or up to 100 Fahrenheit/37 Celsius in dry storage sites while wearing company provided personal protective equipment and freezer gear

Must be able to lift a minimum of 40 lbs./18 kgs.; weight may be more dependent upon facility

Ability to work a flexible work schedule and shift, including weekends, if needed

Must be comfortable with varying noise levels, including loud conditions
