Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled Upholsterer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in upholstery and be proficient in working with various materials and tools. This role involves creating, repairing, and maintaining upholstered furniture, ensuring high-quality craftsmanship and attention to detail. Projects will include auto, marine, RV as well as furniture and antique upholstery.
Duties
- Measure and cut fabric and other materials to specifications for upholstery projects.
- Assemble and build furniture components using hand tools and machinery.
- Fabricate custom upholstery pieces according to design specifications.
- Perform heavy lifting as required to move furniture and materials safely.
- Maintain a clean and organized workspace, adhering to safety protocols.
- Collaborate with team members to meet project deadlines and quality standards
Skills
- Proficiency in using hand tools, sewing machines, and machinery related to upholstery work.
- Knowledge of fabric types, patterns, and upholstery techniques.
- Ability to lift heavy items safely and efficiently.
- Basic carpentry skills are advantageous for assembling furniture components.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work.
