SureCure is a private company based in Milton, Ontario. We make use of leading-edge computer, additive manufacturing, and production technologies to produce customized clear orthodontic aligners for the international market. The company was founded 7 years ago and is certified by the FDA and Health Canada.
We are looking for a CNC programmer familiar with multi-axis machining, namely 5-Axis mills. The CNC programmer will be responsible with programming and machining to print complex geometries with tight tolerances. The ideal candidate should be detail-oriented individuals who can work with little or no supervision and possess strong written communication and computer skills.
Responsibilities
- Set up, operate, and maintain a variety of conventional and computer numerically controlled (CNC) machine tools
- Enter codes specifying speed, feed, and cut of the toolpath for computer numerically controlled (CNC) machine tools
- CNC machine programming (G code, M code, etc.)
- Makes calculations for programming including where materials should be cut
- Translates instructions into a computer automated manufacturing (CAM) program
- Programming precision computer equipment according to per-job specifications
- Complies with all safety rules and regulations
- Set machine or equipment controls, oversee production, and inspect processes
- Create programs for a wide range of numerical control equipment using CAD/CAM system and custom software
Qualifications and Essential Skills
- Knowledge of principles of CNC programming, set up, operation and maintenance
- Must be proficient in CAD software such as AutoCAD with a preference of CAD/CAM experience
- Understanding of the operations of drills, lathes and milling equipment
- Ability to read technical specifications and documentation
- 3+2 or 5 axis CNC experience required
- Must have a willingness to learn and further develop their skills, strong work ethic and ability to work in a dynamic environment
- Preference will be given to those with experience on 5-axis machines
- Programming precision computer equipment according to per-job specification
- Organized with excellent time management and problem-solving skills
- Strong detail-orientation
- Must be results-driven, and be effective working independently as well as in a team
- Must have excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Experience in manufacturing and machining environments preferred
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Salary: $18.00-$22.00 per hour
