In this role, you will work closely with lead teachers and caregivers to implement engaging activities, support individual needs, and foster a safe and welcoming classroom atmosphere. Responsibilities
- Assist lead teachers in planning and executing developmentally appropriate activities that promote social, emotional, and cognitive growth
- Support children with daily routines such as meal times, diapering or toileting, and nap schedules
- Provide attentive caregiving to ensure children’s safety, comfort, and well-being throughout the day
- Help facilitate inclusive learning experiences for children with diverse needs, including those with disabilities
- Maintain a clean and organized classroom environment that encourages exploration and learning
- Observe and document children’s progress, sharing insights with teachers and families as appropriate
- Support positive behavior management strategies to foster respectful interactions among children
Skills
- Prior classroom experience working with young children in early childhood settings
- Experience working with individuals with disabilities or special needs is highly valued
- Strong understanding of early childhood education principles and caregiving practices
- Excellent communication skills to collaborate effectively with team members and families
- Ability to remain energetic, patient, and attentive in a dynamic classroom environment
- Demonstrated ability to follow safety protocols and maintain a nurturing atmosphere
- Passion for supporting children’s development through engaging activities and compassionate care
Pay: $20.00-$22.00 per hour
Expected hours: 8.0 per week
