Job Description
The Cabinet Maker is responsible for the precise fabrication, assembly, and finishing of high-quality cabinetry and architectural millwork products within a production environment, ensuring all work meets established quality standards and specifications.
Responsibilities

Fabricate, assemble, and finish cabinetry and architectural millwork products to high quality standards.

Read and interpret shop drawings, blueprints, and work orders generated by planning and engineering.

Measure, mark, and prepare raw materials accurately for each project using tape measures and other measuring tools.

Select appropriate materials and perform quality control checks to ensure they meet project and company standards.

Visually inspect products at each stage of the process to identify and correct defects or inconsistencies.

Set up, operate, and properly run stationary power tools such as table saws and bandsaws, as well as hand power tools.

Use hand tools and woodworking techniques to complete detailed cabinetmaking and carpentry tasks.

Work efficiently in a production environment while maintaining precision and attention to detail.

Follow safety procedures and maintain a clean, organized work area.

Collaborate with team members to meet production schedules and project deadlines.
Essential Skills
-
Minimum 2+ years of experience in a wood or manufacturing shop as a cabinet maker.

Strong woodworking and cabinetmaking skills, including fabrication, assembly, and finishing.

Ability to read and interpret shop drawings, blueprints, and work orders accurately.

Strong measurement skills and ability to use a tape measure and other measuring tools with precision.

Proficiency with hand tools and hand power tools used in woodworking and cabinet construction.

Ability to set up and properly operate stationary power tools, including table saws and bandsaws.

General carpentry and construction knowledge related to cabinetry and millwork.

Attention to detail and commitment to material selection and quality control.

Ability to visually inspect products throughout the process to ensure quality standards are met.

Capability to work effectively in a production environment while meeting deadlines.
Additional Skills & Qualifications

Experience working in a clean, organized wood or manufacturing shop environment.

Comfort performing general labor tasks associated with cabinetmaking and production.

Work Environment
The work takes place in a well-lit, clean, and organized facility that is divided between production stations and cabinetmaking areas for custom work. You will work with a variety of woodworking tools, including hand tools, hand power tools, and stationary power tools such as table saws and bandsaws. The standard shift runs from 7:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., providing a consistent daytime schedule. The environment emphasizes safety, orderliness, and professional workmanship, with clear processes and dedicated spaces for production and custom projects.

The pay range for this position is $28.00 - $32.00/hr.
