We are now seeking a passionate Math & Science Group Tutor to join our dynamic teaching team. If you love explaining concepts, sparking curiosity, and making complex topics fun and engaging, this is the perfect opportunity for you.
Position Overview
As a Group Tutor for Math and Science, you will conduct small-group sessions designed to strengthen students’ foundational understanding, problem-solving ability, and academic confidence. You’ll guide learners through real-world applications of math and science, preparing them to succeed both in school and beyond.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan and conduct interactive group tutoring sessions (Grades 4–10) in Mathematics and Science.
- Simplify challenging topics — from algebra, geometry, and physics to chemistry and life sciences — through examples, visuals, and experiments.
- Adapt teaching strategies to meet the different learning styles and academic levels of students.
- Encourage collaboration, teamwork, and discussion among group members.
- Track each student’s progress and provide constructive feedback to parents.
- Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment where students feel confident to ask questions.
- Coordinate with other instructors to align academic goals across programs like STEM and Robotics.
- Maintain records of attendance, assessments, and performance reports.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Mathematics, Science, Education, or a related field (Master’s or B.Ed preferred).
- Prior experience in tutoring or classroom teaching (small-group instruction preferred).
- Strong subject knowledge in Math and Science up to Grade 10 level.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Enthusiastic, patient, and passionate about helping children learn through exploration.
- Ability to manage groups effectively and maintain a structured, engaging learning space.
- Experience integrating STEM concepts or hands-on learning is a strong asset.
