When disasters happen, Remediation Technicians at On Side are truly on ‘your side’. Asbestos and mold can pop-up anywhere and requires special knowledge and experience to deal with. Remediation Technicians can perform remediation services while protecting the health and safety of workers and clients.

What You’ll Do
- Ensuring a safe work area from asbestos, mould and lead by knowing how to remove and remediate potential dangers from the work site
- Identifying and disposing of asbestos, mould and lead contaminated materials
- Cross training into other areas
What You Bring
- 2+ years experience in remediation
- Experience in risk assessment, including filing Notices of Project (NOP) and completing clearance documentation is a strong asset
- Asbestos Level 2 Certification is an asset
- Basic carpentry skills to build containment
- Ability to perform work following procedure and legislation
- Clean shaven face (if applicable) for every shift (for full mask fit)
- Willingness to wear full PPE as required for duration of shift
- Cleanliness of site, vehicle, and tools
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow scope of work
- Organized with a good sense of time— you’re rarely late and know where all your tools are
- Physically fit— remediation can, at times, include heavy lifting (50+lbs)
- Comfortable in confined spaces
- Friendly and enjoys working in a team!
- A safety-first mindset
- Tech-savvy (comfortable using apps and software)
- Valid driver’s licence and a clean criminal record (we do check)
- Ability to communicate in English, both written and spoken

Disasters can strike at any time so a rotating schedule of 24/7 after hours on-call work is a requirement. Meaning you’ll work regular weekday hours and participate in a rotating after-hours on-call schedule.

Experience:
