Duties
- Provide expert hair styling services tailored to each client’s preferences, including cuts, color treatments, blowouts, and special styling requests
- Deliver outstanding customer service by actively listening to clients’ needs and offering professional advice on hair care and styling options
- Maintain a clean and sanitized work station in accordance with health and safety standards to ensure a safe environment for clients and staff
- Upsell retail hair care products and styling tools that complement clients’ needs, enhancing their experience and boosting sales
- Manage front desk responsibilities such as greeting clients, scheduling appointments, processing payments, and answering client inquiries promptly
- Build strong relationships with clients through effective communication skills, fostering loyalty and repeat business
- Stay current with the latest hair trends, techniques, and industry best practices through ongoing education
Experience
- Proven experience in professional hair styling or cosmetology preferred; certification or licensing as required by local regulations
- Strong customer service background with excellent communication skills to connect with diverse clients
- Knowledge of sanitation procedures to ensure a safe and hygienic salon environment
- Demonstrated ability to upsell products naturally while maintaining a focus on client satisfaction
- Experience working at the front desk or in retail sales within a salon or similar setting is advantageous
