The SMB & MM Strategy & Planning team is responsible for driving profitable growth within the Business P&L through strategic program development, P&L management and acting as strategic advisors to our Finance and Marketing partners.
Our team members include people like you – curious, analytical, innovative and authentic. We believe that you’ll find our high-performance culture personally fulfilling and professionally rewarding.
Here’s the impact you’ll make and what we’ll accomplish together
We’re looking for a sharp, analytically-driven Senior Strategy Manager to own the financial and subscriber planning for TELUS’ Mid-Market Wireline P&L. This is a high-visibility role where you’ll work directly with senior leadership, shape strategic direction and drive profitable growth across our national wireline business.
If you thrive in a fast-paced environment, love turning complex data into clear decisions and want to drive high impact work - this role is for you.
Here’s how
Own the Numbers:
Lead annual and long-term financial and subscriber planning in close partnership with Marketing leadership, Finance and Business Intelligence teams, consolidating inputs from multiple stakeholders into an executable roadmap
Manage the monthly forecasting process and deliver performance updates to the Senior Leadership team
Investigate changes to underlying performance, analyze key market shifts and size business impact of opportunities and risks
Set targets for and monitor performance of core KPIs (Activations, Deactivations, Revenue, COA/COR, etc.)
Drive Strategy:
Lead/contribute to semi-annual strategy reviews and develop scenario-based analyses to guide executive decisions
Build and present business cases for key initiatives
Contribute to the long-term strategic outlook for the Wireline P&L, including translating foundational B2B Wireline industry trends and product innovation into performance and profitability drivers
Be a Trusted Advisor:
Act as the financial conscience of the Marketing team - proactively identify P&L risks and opportunities, quantifying trade-offs and challenging assumptions to ensure strategic decisions are grounded in financial reality
Build strong partnerships with key stakeholders across Finance, Business Intelligence and Marketing teams
Provide critical perspectives on the P&L impact of key initiatives
Qualifications
5+ years of progressive experience in management consulting, corporate strategy or financial planning (FP&A, corporate finance or business analyses) - or equivalent combination of roles demonstrating strategic problem-solving and financial acumen
Deep Excel expertise and proven financial modelling skills - you regularly build complex financial models to test ‘what-if’ scenarios and guide executive decision making
Hypothesis-driven problem solver - comfortable with ambiguity and large data set, able to synthesize complexity for executive audiences
Clear, compelling communicator who can translate complex analyses into actionable insights for senior leaders
University degree (Bachelor’s minimum; CPA or MBA preferred)
Nice-to-haves:
SQL proficiency or other data extraction/automation skills
Experience in telecommunications and/or wireline an asset
What we give back to you:
High Visibility - your work lands directly on the desks of senior leaders
Real Impact - you’ll shape strategy for a major national business P&L
Great Culture - collaborative, entrepreneurial, and authentically people-first
Growth - training, networking and career development built into experience
Flexibility - hybrid and flexible remote work
Purpose - work for a company that actively invests in the communities it serves
Rewards - competitive compensation reflective of experience and comprehensive health, wellness and employee benefits
Salary Range: $86,000-$136,000
