Overview
We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Food and Beverage Manager to oversee daily operations within our hospitality establishment. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, extensive restaurant and food service experience, and a passion for delivering exceptional customer service. This role involves managing staff, ensuring food safety standards, and maintaining high-quality food and beverage offerings to enhance guest satisfaction.
Duties
- Supervise and coordinate all food and beverage operations, including restaurant, bar, and catering services
- Oversee food preparation, cooking, and presentation to ensure quality standards are met
- Manage POS systems such as Micros POS for order processing and cash handling
- Lead, train, and evaluate team members; conduct interviews to hire qualified staff
- Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and proper food handling procedures
- Monitor inventory levels, order supplies, and manage stock control
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of kitchen and dining areas in accordance with health standards
- Develop menus in collaboration with culinary staff; incorporate customer preferences and industry trends
- Handle customer inquiries, resolve complaints promptly, and ensure a positive dining experience
- Oversee restaurant management tasks including scheduling, budgeting, and operational reporting
Requirements
- Proven experience in food service management or restaurant management roles
- Supervising experience with team management skills in a hospitality environment
- Strong knowledge of food preparation, cooking techniques, and food safety standards
- Familiarity with POS systems such as Micros POS; cash handling experience preferred
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to lead a team effectively
- Background in food industry operations including kitchen experience, serving, or hospitality roles
- Experience with interviewing potential staff members and conducting performance evaluations
- Leadership qualities with the ability to motivate staff and manage multiple responsibilities efficiently
- Previous hotel or barista experience is a plus but not required
- Knowledge of food handling regulations and commitment to maintaining high standards of cleanliness and safety
