SkyAlyne is a proud partnership between Canadian aviation and defence leaders, CAE and KF Aerospace, formed to provide a truly Canadian solution for Canada’s Future Aircrew Training (FAcT) Program, Canada’s next-generation military aircrew training program.
SkyAlyne has been selected as contractor for the FAcT Program, a 25 year program valued at approximately $10 billion. The program will be managed from the National Capital Region (Ottawa), with three operational locations: Moose Jaw, Saskatchewan; Southport (Portage la Prairie), Manitoba; and Winnipeg, Manitoba.
The scope of the FAcT Program contract includes all training and in-service support requirements needed to prepare Pilots, Air Combat Systems Officers, and Airborne Electronic Sensor Operators to meet the future aerospace requirements of the Royal Canadian Air Force. In collaboration with the Government of Canada and several major Canadian subcontractors, SkyAlyne will provide live-flying, simulator and classroom-based training, facilities construction and management, information management and information technology support, site support services, aircraft maintenance and much more.

Job Overview
The Project Controller will be a critical part of the FAcT Program, working closely with Work Package leads, collaborating with team members in the PMO, strategic subcontractors. and other teams within SkyAlyne. This role is responsible for executing specific project related activities during the project’s execution life cycle. The Project Controller's main function is to assist the Work pack Leads regarding project progress and performance, project financials and schedule, analysis, reporting milestones and data deliverables.
Duties and Responsibilities

Execute the control processes implemented by the Program Management Office.

Work closely with the Program Management Office, Work pack Lead, Engineers, and project planners to organize, and facilitate the execution and delivery of project milestones.

Provide support to Work pack Leads in regard to scheduling, on a weekly basis.

Support all integration projects from the inception phase until deployment.

Review project deliverables and communicate critical paths to relevant stakeholders, ensuring project adheres to agreed timelines, budgets, quality standards.

Conduct risk analysis and monitor the progress of plans against project milestones and budgets.

Assist the Program Management Office (PMO) with project estimates, reviews, change controls, scope changes and costing.

Develop and maintain detailed work plans, including schedules, milestones, CDRLs, resource allocation, and essential project documents.

Identify and mitigate blockers and bottlenecks throughout project life cycle.

Track and communicate project statuses, risks, blockers, and milestones to all relevant stakeholders.

Perform post-implementation project audits to measure project success.

Provide regular status reports to the Program Management Office (PMO).

Qualifications and Experience

Bachelor's degree or a post-secondary diploma in business, finance, engineering or a related field;

Minimum of 3 years of experience in project management and project lifecycle.

Relevant certification in Earned Value Management System or PMP from PMI preferred.

Proven experience in managing projects and project deployments, with a proven track record of delivering successful outcomes.

Familiarity with federal aviation industry regulations, standards, and practices.

Proficiency in Project Management tools.

Be able to communicate with both internal teams and external partners, ensuring clarity and alignment across all stakeholders.

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

Detail-oriented with a focus on data accuracy.

Proficiency in MS Suite, ideally in MS Projects, Excel, Word, Outlook & PowerPoint.

Be able to hold a Government of Canada Security Clearance (Secret level) and Controlled Goods Clearance.

Eligible to work in Canada.

Strong oral and written English language capabilities.

Fluency in French would be an asset.
