Maintenance Support plays a key role in maintaining and preserving IHACSS properties. Reporting to the Maintenance Manager, this position supports building operations, preventative maintenance programs, landscaping, repairs, contractor coordination, and facility projects.
This role requires a hands-on professional who is comfortable working indoors and outdoors, managing multiple priorities, and responding to maintenance needs across various locations.

Perform general building maintenance and repairs.

Assist with the upkeep of HVAC, electrical, and mechanical systems.

Support the day-to-day operations of the Maintenance Department.

Coordinate with the Maintenance Manager to achieve departmental objectives.

Complete landscaping, grounds maintenance, and snow removal activities.

Attend meetings and complete reports accurately and professionally.

Identify, report, and proactively address safety concerns.

Schedule and coordinate contractors, vendors, and service appointments.

Monitor project timelines and ensure quality completion of work.

Perform preventative maintenance and maintain equipment records.

Manage maintenance inventory, tools, and supplies.

Complete plumbing, carpentry, painting, and minor construction tasks.

Support renovation, construction, and facility improvement projects.

Participate in an on-call rotation and respond after hours when required.

Travel between multiple residential and operational sites.

Follow all workplace health and safety policies and procedures.

Wear appropriate PPE, including steel-toed safety footwear and safety glasses.

Identify and mitigate workplace hazards.
ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES

Participate in after-hours on call

High School Diploma or GED.
-
Minimum one (1) year of building maintenance or related experience.

Valid Class 5 Driver’s License.

Strong verbal and written communication skills.

Ability to read and follow technical manuals and instructions.

Experience using digital maintenance systems and online platforms.

Ability to lift and carry up to 75 lbs.

Strong organizational and time-management skills.
-
Ability to effectively prioritize and manage multiple tasks.

Demonstrated problem-solving ability and attention to detail.

First Aid and CPR Certification.

Experience coordinating contractors and vendors.
-
Knowledge of preventative maintenance programs.

Experience in project coordination or construction environments.
