We are currently looking for a skilled and motivated Mobile Air Conditioning & APU Technician to join our Edmonton team. This position is ideal for a Journeyman Refrigeration & Air Conditioning Mechanic, experienced automotive AC technician, heavy-duty mechanic, or mechanically inclined apprentice looking to grow into a specialized and highly in-demand trade.

As a Mobile Air Conditioning & APU Technician, you will work on:
Thermo King TRIPAC Auxiliary Power Units (APUs)Vehicle air conditioning systemsMobile heating and climate control systemsHeavy truck and specialty vehicle heating and cooling equipmentElectrical and control systems related to climate equipmentTransport refrigeration units and auxiliary power units
You will support customers across transportation, construction, oilfield, municipal, and industrial sectors throughout Alberta.
Your responsibilities will include:
Diagnosing, troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining mobile air conditioning and APU systemsPerforming preventative maintenance inspections and system performance checksInstalling, starting up, and commissioning climate control equipmentReading and interpreting wiring diagrams, schematics, and technical manualsOperating diagnostic software and testing equipmentCompleting accurate service documentation and work ordersProviding field service support at customer locations throughout Edmonton and AlbertaOperating a company service vehicle for mobile repairs and installationsMaintaining a clean, safe, and organized work environmentCommunicating professionally with customers and internal team membersFollowing and participating in company safety policies and procedures

Strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting abilitiesExperience with refrigeration, air conditioning, automotive AC, heavy-duty equipment, transport refrigeration, or mobile climate systemsA positive attitude and strong work ethicAbility to work independently in a fast-paced service environmentStrong communication and customer service skillsCommitment to quality workmanship and safety
Journeyman Refrigeration & Air Conditioning Mechanic certificationExperience with vehicle air conditioning systems or transport refrigerationExperience with transport refrigeration units and/or auxiliary power unitsExperience reading electrical schematics and troubleshooting controls
Apprentices currently enrolled in a recognized trade programAutomotive AC techniciansHeavy-duty mechanics with climate system experienceCandidates with commercial, residential, or industrial refrigeration and air conditioning experience looking to transition into mobile systems
