Overview
We are seeking a friendly and dependable Dog Daycare Attendant to join our team. This role is essential in providing a safe, engaging, and positive environment for dogs while ensuring excellent customer service for pet owners. The ideal candidate will have a genuine love for animals, strong communication skills, and the physical ability to handle active dogs throughout the day.
Duties
- Supervise and interact with dogs during playtime and rest periods to ensure safety and well-being
- Monitor dog behavior and address any signs of distress or aggression promptly
- Assist with cleaning and sanitizing kennels, play areas, and equipment to maintain a hygienic environment
- Feed dogs according to their individual dietary needs and schedules
- Provide excellent customer service by communicating with pet owners about their pets' activities and health
- Enforce facility rules to ensure a safe environment for both dogs and staff
- Observe and report any health or behavioral concerns to management
Requirements
- Prior experience with animals or in a customer service role is preferred
- Ability to handle physically active dogs, including heavy lifting when necessary
- Strong communication skills to interact effectively with pet owners and team members
- Reliable, responsible, and attentive to detail in caring for animals
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining patience and professionalism
- Must be able to stand, walk, and lift for extended periods during shifts
