Carrying the latest trends in men’s and women’s active and fashion forward apparel, outerwear, footwear and accessories, we’ve got a knack for tailoring specific product mixes for each location and their unique customers.
We are seeking a passionate and product-focused Ladies’ Fashion Buyer to join our merchandising team. The ideal candidate has 3-5 years of buying experience, a strong eye for fashion and emerging trends, and the analytical skills to turn customer insights and sales data into successful product assortments.
You’ll play a key role in developing and managing a compelling ladies’ fashion assortment that excites customers, drives sales, and supports our overall brand and financial goals.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and execute seasonal buying strategies for ladies’ fashion categories.
- Identify emerging fashion trends, customer preferences, and market opportunities.
- Build balanced assortments based on sales performance, customer demand, fashion trends, and financial objectives.
- Analyze sales, inventory, margins, sell-through, and other key performance indicators to make informed buying decisions.
- Manage product selection, assortment planning, pricing, and promotional opportunities.
- Build strong relationships and negotiate with vendors and brand partners.
- Partner closely with Marketing, E-commerce, and Store Operations teams.
- Monitor competitive activity and conduct regular market and trend research.
- Review product performance throughout the season and recommend actions to maximize sales and profitability.
- Participate in vendor meetings, market appointments, and buying trips as needed.
Qualifications
- 3-5 years of experience in a retail buying or merchandising role, preferably within ladies’ fashion.
- Strong passion for fashion, retail, product, and emerging trends.
- Excellent analytical and quantitative skills with the ability to interpret sales and inventory data and translate insights into action.
- Experience with assortment planning, inventory management, margin analysis, and open-to-buy concepts.
- Strong commercial awareness and understanding of customer behavior.
- Proven ability to negotiate and build productive vendor relationships.
- Highly organized with excellent attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong communication, presentation, and cross-functional collaboration skills.
- Advanced proficiency in Excel and comfort working with retail reporting and analytics tools.
- Bachelor’s degree in Fashion Merchandising, Business, Retail Management, or a related field preferred.
