Overview
Granstone is looking for a full-time Project Coordinator to join our growing team. This role is ideal for someone who is organized, detail-oriented, and experienced in the construction industry. The Project Coordinator plays a key role in keeping projects on schedule, supporting communication across teams, and helping ensure work is completed to Granstone’s quality standards.
We are looking for someone who can thrive in a fast-paced environment, manage multiple moving parts, and work closely with project managers, suppliers, subcontractors, and internal teams to keep projects running efficiently.
Construction industry experience is required. Experience from outside Canada is always welcome, but candidates must be legally authorized to work in Canada and hold a valid work permit, permanent residency, or Canadian citizenship.
Responsibilities
- Assist with planning, scheduling, and coordinating construction projects to ensure deadlines and milestones are met
- Support project managers with day-to-day project administration, scheduling, and follow-up
- Coordinate with subcontractors, suppliers, installers, and internal teams to maintain smooth project flow
- Review project drawings, site details, and specifications to support accurate execution
- Track project progress, identify delays or issues, and communicate updates proactively
- Help manage project documentation, change orders, purchase orders, and site-related records
- Support material ordering and delivery coordination to ensure projects stay on schedule
- Monitor project budgets, costs, and timelines in coordination with the project management team
- Prepare internal project updates, status reports, and other administrative documentation as needed
- Ensure projects are aligned with safety requirements, quality expectations, and company procedures
- Maintain clear communication with clients and team members throughout the project lifecycle
Qualifications
- Previous experience in construction is required
- Experience in a Project Coordinator, Project Administrator, Site Coordinator, or similar role is strongly preferred
- Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Comfortable reading construction drawings, blueprints, and project specifications
- Strong communication and follow-up skills when working with clients, trades, and internal teams
- High attention to detail and strong problem-solving abilities
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and general project/document management systems
- Experience with construction management software such as Procore, Bluebeam, Primavera P6, HeavyBid, Civil 3D, or similar platforms is considered an asset
- Educational background in construction management, civil engineering, project management, or a related field is an asset
- Must be available to work full-time
- Foreign construction experience is welcome, but applicants must have a valid Canadian work permit, permanent residency, or citizenship
