Overview
We are seeking a skilled Warehouse Forklift Operator to join our small North Vancouver team. This role is essential for efficient warehouse operations, including loading, unloading, and managing inventory with heavy equipment. The ideal candidate will have experience operating forklifts, awareness around proper safety, and good organizational skills for keeping track of inventory. Candidates with a background in warehouse distribution, shipping & receiving, and construction are encouraged to apply. Responsibilities
- Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other heavy equipment safely and efficiently for loading and unloading shipments
- Assist with the scheduling of product deliveries
- Organize parts and perform routine inventory audits
- Keep track of parts stock and order new parts as needed
- Perform order picking and inventory management using warehouse management systems
- Load and unload materials from trucks, containers, or storage areas with precision
- Assist with shipping & receiving processes, ensuring accurate documentation and handling of goods
- Conduct routine maintenance checks on equipment to ensure safety and operational standards are met
- Support warehouse organization by stacking, storing, and retrieving items as needed
- Collaborate with team members to meet daily operational goals and maintain a safe work environment
Requirements
- Proven experience operating forklifts and other heavy equipment in a warehouse setting
- Strong knowledge of warehouse distribution processes and inventory management systems
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently
- Mechanical knowledge related to heavy equipment operation and troubleshooting
- Prior experience in shipping & receiving, order picking, or construction environments preferred
- Valid certification for forklift operation is required; crane or heavy equipment certifications are a plus
- Excellent attention to detail and safety awareness
Pay: $20.00-$23.00 per hour
