Providence Centre, is a supportive living facility with in-house nursing care unit, dietary, housekeeping, laundry, and maintenance services. It is primarily the home of the Catholic Nuns. It sits on a 25-acre property with beautiful grounds, a chapel, and an oratory to the Mary Mother of Sorrows. We are seeking a Housekeeping Aide to support a clean, safe, and sanitary environment for residents, staff, and visitors. The position is permanent full time and will be reporting to the Housekeeping Supervisor.
Job duties include but not limited to:
- Perform routine cleaning and disinfecting of resident and guest rooms, bathrooms, common areas, and offices (sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, dusting, scrubbing, buffing)
- Clean and disinfect surfaces and fixtures in accordance with IPC standards
- Provide linen services including changing beds, replenishing supplies, and cleaning guest rooms
- Collect, handle, and dispose of waste and soiled linens appropriately
- Operate laundry equipment (washer, dryer, iron, heat press) and distribute clean linen
Qualifications and Requirements:
- Minimum 1 year of housekeeping/janitorial experience in a healthcare or hospitality setting
- Knowledge of WHMIS (asset)
- Criminal Record Check with Vulnerable Sector required
- Ability to communicate effectively in English (written and verbal)
- Ability to perform physically demanding work and adapt to varied environments
- Demonstrated respect and professionalism when working with residents

Work Schedule
- 6:30AM - 2:30 PM (7.5-hour shifts)
- Rotating days, weekends, and holidays
