Procurement Superintendent

Full-Time | Site-Based Role
Canada Fluorspar (NL) Inc. (CFI) is seeking an experienced Procurement Superintendent to lead procurement and supply chain activities supporting safe, reliable, and cost-effective mining and processing operations.
This senior role is responsible for ensuring materials, equipment, and services are sourced efficiently while supporting CFI’s commitments under its Impact and Benefits Agreement (IBA).
Key Responsibilities
- Lead procurement and supply chain activities including sourcing, tendering, contract negotiation, and supplier management
- Ensure timely and cost-effective procurement of materials, equipment, spare parts, consumables, and services
- Manage purchase requisitions, purchase orders, inventory controls, and reporting using ERP systems (SAP or Sage 300)
- Support inventory planning, materials forecasting, and critical spare parts management
- Monitor procurement spend and identify cost-saving opportunities
- Support operational requirements, shutdowns, and capital projects
- Build strong supplier relationships and manage supplier performance
- Support local and Indigenous procurement initiatives in alignment with CFI’s IBA commitments
- Ensure procurement activities comply with company policies, safety standards, and applicable legislation
Qualifications & Experience
- Post-secondary education in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or related discipline
- 7–10 years of procurement or supply chain experience, preferably in mining, heavy industry, or industrial operations
- Experience working with ERP systems such as SAP (MM module) or Sage 300
- Demonstrated experience negotiating contracts and managing supplier relationships
- Experience supporting local, Indigenous, or community procurement initiatives considered an asset
- Professional designation such as SCMP, CPM, or equivalent considered an asset

Working Conditions
- Site-based position in St. Lawrence, Newfoundland and Labrador
- This is not a fly in/out role
- Occasional extended hours may be required to support operations, shutdowns, or critical procurement activities
