We are looking for a cashier/customer service person who will help in all aspects of our cafe.
This position will be split between cashier, food, and barista responsibilities.
As a cashier, you will be responsible for proving an exception experience. Assisting customers with menu, transaction and guiding them through their experience at EcoCafe. We are looking for someone who loves serving customers, small talk, and showing care.
As a food position, you will be responsible for crafting food using proper safe food handling technique and recipes. This position has lots of prep dishes and cleaning.
As a Barista, you will be responsible for crafting high-quality beverages, providing exceptional customer service, and ensuring a welcoming atmosphere for our guests. The ideal candidate will have a love for coffee and food, along with the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
The Role
You'll be responsible for:
- Providing warm, engaging customer service
- Maintaining immaculate cleanliness of the café
- Managing closing, opening and daily duties efficiently
- Multitasking effectively during peak service periods
- Stock management and preparation for the next day's operations
- Contributing to a positive team atmosphere
Required Qualifications
- Demonstrated passion for coffee/food and its preparation
- Strong customer service background
- Safe Food Handler Certification or willing to obtain before hiring.
- Excellent time management and multitasking abilities
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Flexible availability for open shifts starting at 6am and closing shifts shifts until 7pm Monday - Sunday.
- Physical ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 30 lbs
