Cleaning Technician
NewGen Cleaning Services is currently hiring Full-Time Cleaning Technicians to join our team in the Nanaimo and Cowichan Valley areas of British Columbia.
We are looking for reliable, hardworking, and detail-oriented individuals who take pride in delivering high-quality cleaning services. Successful candidates will be responsible for maintaining a clean, safe, and welcoming environment at a major educational institution.

Schedule
- Primarily evening and after-hours shifts
- Monday to Friday
- Weekend work may be required on occasion
Responsibilities
- Clean and sanitize classrooms, offices, hallways, washrooms, and common areas
- Sweep, mop, vacuum, and dust assigned areas
- Empty garbage and recycling containers
- Restock washroom and janitorial supplies
- Operate cleaning equipment and tools safely
- Follow site-specific cleaning procedures and schedules
- Report maintenance issues, damages, or safety concerns to supervisors
- Maintain a professional appearance and positive attitude while on site
Qualifications
- Previous cleaning or janitorial experience is an asset but not required
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Strong attention to detail
- Reliable, punctual, and dependable
- Physically capable of lifting, bending, walking, and standing for extended periods
- Good communication skills
- Ability to pass a Criminal Record Check if required
