The Business Analyst will lead at the working level the delivery of eCommerce / Digital IT solutions on behalf of and in conjunction with The Source business. The primary deliverables include the elicitation of business, system, functional and non-functional requirements and participating in the successful development and deployment. The incumbent will work for and alongside an IT Team Leader or Project Manager, and will partner with other IT teams as well as external vendors. Success requires a highly motivated individual who thrives in a constantly changing and exciting environment, applying creativity and innovation in the development of solutions essential to support The Source's current & future business goals. The area of focus for this role is Commerce & Digital IT and related processes.
Duties & Reponsibilities:
Eliciting/gathering and documenting business requirements, developing business knowledge and providing domain consulting and ensuring compliance via a Traceability Matrix
Translating (or working with IA / UX / Design teams to translate) business requirements into system requirements and ensuring that the Design/Development and QA team members have a conduit for clarification during the various project phases. Review design/interface specifications for completeness.
Ensuring traceability of requirements through the project lifecycle, including the establishment of test cases for Integration testing/User Acceptance testing as required.
Test the system as appropriate/required and track the testing of others (or interface with a test manager) where required to ensure a quality product is delivered. Participate in deployment and post deployment activities to ensure the system is running as it should.
Prepare or assist in the preparation of deployment documentation, business deployment plans to ensure continuity.
Assist in developing and updating other project deliverables such as charter, plans, feasibility analysis, etc.
Teach out process as is and to be states to appropriate audience
Research and identify industry best practices related to business needs
Help resolve issues, risks and dependencies within the track and across different tracks
Perform other duties as assigned
Post-secondary education in Business Administration, Computer Science, or equivalent experience
Process Modelling experience in an ecommerce environment desirable
Significant experience leading multi-disciplinary JAD / requirements gathering sessions
Experience as a software developer /designer or systems analyst desirable
Excellent verbal and written communication and negotiation skills
Experience with SAP Commerce (Hybris) desirable
Experience with Salesforce Sales / Service Cloud, and/or Marketing Cloud desirable
Experience dealing with multiple vendors in the creation of multi-tiered end-to-end solutions
Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, Project, Visio), as well as Jira and Confluence tools
