Overview:
NYRC is looking for a Business Development Associate (Disability) to join our team!
All tasks related to business development will be developed and implemented by the Business Development Associate in collaboration with senior management. The role includes both identifying and capturing revenue-generating opportunities for NYRC, as well as managing key client and assessor relationships. This role is focused on new business growth in the following market segments: Life and Health Disability, Medical Legal, Employer/Union and Government Agencies.
Qualifications:

Minimum Education: Post Secondary Diploma; University degree preferred.

Minimum 5 years’ experience in sales, account management, business development, disability insurance, legal, or healthcare preferred.

Should be honest, respectful, and trustworthy.

Ability to interact with external and internal clients professionally.

Willingness to commit to working outside regular work hours as needed.

Ability to work unsupervised and/or with members of staff at various levels in the organization.

Excellent verbal and written communication skills and professional personal presentation

Strong organizational skills and an ability to give great attention to small details.

Ability to prioritize and manage many tasks simultaneously.

Fluent in English; verbal and written; additional languages an asset.

Ability to face and overcome challenges seen in the course of work.

Responsibilities:
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

Responding to client inquiries; maintaining database information and monitoring the company’s opportunity to further engage the client in identified company services.
- Researches, develops, refines, and evaluates specific client relations services, programs, and events to further engage current clients.
- Maintaining and updating prospective Alberta doctor recruitment list
- Recruit new physicians for NYRC in Alberta based on recruitment list:

Manage NYRC’s contact lists – client and doctor distribution lists.

Manage NYRC’s Alberta physician rosters.

Manage physician IMEC profiles. Working with other departments to ensure information is accurate and up to date.

Strategize and market new and existing services to existing and prospective clients.

Manage the compiling of RFP submissions.
- Attending and hosting seminars, trade shows, and other networking events as needed.

Schedule and attend lunch and learn sessions with existing and prospective clients regularly.

Identify and enter new market sectors outside of plaintiff tort work for growth in Alberta (municipalities, insurance deference, accident benefits etc)

Provide up to date information on competitor movement and initiatives
- Manage new marketing initiatives as needed.
