Orleans Toyota is looking for a FULL-TIME LOT ATTENDANT
Position overview:
The lot attendant is responsible for ensuring that exterior appearance of the dealership and is also responsible for coordinating all on-site tire storage. This role requires an individual, who is organized, self-sufficient, proactive, and has strong communication skills.
Key responsibilities:
- Perform all necessary grounds keeping ensuring the lot looks presentable (mowing the grass, trimming hedges, shovelling entryways, salting entryways, etc…)
- Maintain an orderly and clean vehicle lot, ensuring all vehicles are parked in designated areas.
- Monitor lot security and report any suspicious activity or safety hazards to management.
- Oversee the organization and management of the on-site tire storage facility.
- Ensure proper storage practices for tires to prevent damage and ensure accessibility.
- Track inventory of stored tires, including monitoring tire conditions and quantities.
- Coordinate with the service department to facilitate tire transfers and installations.
- Maintain accurate records of tire storage and handle any required documentation.
- Adhere to all safety protocols and guidelines to ensure a safe working environment.
- Assist with special projects or tasks as directed by management.
- Provide support to other team members as needed, such as the valet.
Requirements:
- Valid driver’s license is required
- Previous experience in an automotive lot attendant or similar role preferred.
- Previous experience in grounds keeping or similar role is preferred.
- Ability to life 40lbs+ for long periods of time.
- Ability to work independently.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Basic understanding of tire management.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Basic computer skills and familiarity with inventory management systems a plus.
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
