Reporting to the SVP, the General Manager will be responsible for assuring the standards of performance of the division and meeting the requirements of ESSI and all governing bodies (regulatory, legal, and industry). Working closely with the company’s management team, the General Manager will lead the strategic growth and development of Ensign Well Servicing, a division of Ensign Drilling Inc.
Establish strategy and formulate business plans to lead the growth and development of the division.
Review internal and external growth opportunities.
Set annual budget targets for the division, within the guidelines established by Ensign Energy Services Inc.
Implement day-to-day financial controls to ensure budget targets are achieved.
Establish accounts with strategic suppliers to obtain preferential pricing and timely delivery.
Prepare AFE requests for capital expenditures and major repair expenses within EESI guidelines.
Review field tickets to ensure pricing for service is accurate and complete.
Ensure all third-party charges have been billed for recovery.
Monitor spending by reviewing and approving expenses for goods and services required to operate division.
On a monthly basis review the trial balance and present a monthly financial and operational performance summary to EESI Senior Management.
Direct Managers to ensure service requirements are met.
Maintain daily communication with the Managers to ensure the manpower and equipment resources are maximized.
Establish quality and performance standards and monitor performance to ensure services are being conducted within Company, industry and applicable regulatory requirements.
Resolve any job performance problems and utilize resources to settle customer disputes.
Provide mentoring, performance management, motivation and daily supervision to personnel.
A minimum of 10 – 15 years’ industry experience
Possess the operational knowledge, leadership skills and business experience to manage a growing oilfield service company
