Job Summary
We are seeking a vigilant and professional event security guard for Stampede 2026 from July 2 to July 12. to ensure the safety and security of attendees, staff, and property at various events. The ideal candidate will be responsible for monitoring event premises, managing access control, and responding promptly to any security concerns. This role requires a strong sense of responsibility, excellent observation skills, and the ability to handle high-pressure situations effectively.
Duties
- Conduct regular patrols of the event grounds to maintain visibility, deter misconduct, and identify potential safety hazards
- Monitor assigned zones, including entry gates, stages, and restricted areas, to ensure compliance with event policies
- Enforce access control procedures by verifying tickets, credentials, and wristbands for all guests, staff, and vendors
- Perform bag checks and screenings in accordance with event security protocols
- Manage crowd flow and prevent overcrowding in high-density areas to ensure public safety
- Respond promptly to incidents such as disturbances, intoxication, medical situations, or security breaches, escalating when required
- Coordinate with supervisors, team leads, and emergency services during critical situations
- Maintain clear and professional communication via radio at all times
- Remove unauthorized or disruptive individuals using proper de-escalation techniques
- Monitor alcohol consumption areas and enforce event policies related to intoxication and behavior
- Assist with emergency evacuations or site lockdowns following established procedures
- Maintain detailed and accurate reports of incidents, observations, and actions taken during shifts
- Provide professional customer service by assisting attendees with directions, information, and general inquiries
- Ensure all assigned posts are covered and report any gaps or issues immediately
- Uphold company standards in appearance, conduct, and professionalism throughout the event
Experience
- Prior experience in law enforcement, security, or related fields is preferred but not mandatory.
- Knowledge of surveillance techniques, CCTV operation, and loss prevention strategies is highly desirable.
- Strong observational skills with the ability to recognize suspicious behavior quickly.
- Excellent communication skills to interact professionally with attendees, staff, and emergency responders.
- Ability to remain calm under pressure and handle difficult situations with discretion and professionalism.
- Valid security license or certification is a plus but may be provided upon hiring depending on jurisdiction requirements.
