Full Job Description
We are currently seeking a reliable and experienced Carpenter to join our construction team in Sudbury, Ontario. This is a full-time opportunity for an individual who takes pride in quality craftsmanship, works well in a team environment, and is committed to workplace safety.
Responsibilities
- Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications
- Measure, cut, shape, and assemble wood and other building materials
- Construct, install, and repair walls, floors, roofs, framing, and other structural components
- Install doors, windows, trim, cabinets, and other finish carpentry elements
- Operate and maintain hand tools and power tools safely
- Ensure work meets building codes and quality standards
- Maintain a clean and organized worksite
- Follow all company safety procedures and regulations
- Collaborate with project managers and team members to complete projects on schedule
Qualifications
- Minimum 1–2 years of carpentry experience in residential or commercial construction
- Ability to read blueprints and construction drawings
- Experience using hand and power tools
- Strong measuring, cutting, and installation skills
- Excellent attention to detail
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform physically demanding work
- Reliable transportation to job sites
- Valid driver's licence is considered an asset
- Legally authorized to work in Canada
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in residential and commercial construction
- Working at Heights certification (asset)
- WHMIS certification (asset)
Compensation & Benefits
- $19.00–$25.00 per hour, based on experience
- Full-time, year-round work
- Monday to Friday schedule
