Pay Rate: $22.25/hr, paid weekly via direct deposit
We are currently seeking a Shipper/Receiver – Material Handler to join a busy manufacturing environment in Norwich. This position is responsible for shipping and receiving agricultural parts and machinery, ensuring materials are handled accurately and efficiently while supporting daily production schedules.
- Ship and receive agricultural parts, machinery, and materials.
- Verify shipping and receiving contents against packing slips and transfer orders.
- Follow established shipping and receiving procedures and quality standards.
- Deliver materials accurately and on time to various departments.
- Maintain accurate shipping records and report discrepancies.
- Complete required paperwork and communicate effectively with other shifts.
- Operate forklifts safely and efficiently.
- Assist with training new and existing warehouse associates as required.
- Participate in continuous improvement and Lean initiatives.
- Follow all company Health & Safety policies and procedures.
- Previous shipping/receiving experience in a manufacturing environment is preferred.
- Forklift operating experience required.
- Overhead crane experience is an asset; training will be provided.
- Basic computer skills.
- High school diploma or equivalent is preferred.
- Strong attention to detail and excellent organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and as part of a team.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Excellent time management and problem-solving abilities.
- Good hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. with the assistance of a lifting device.
- Comfortable with bending, crouching, walking, and standing for extended periods.
