Job Summary
BMW Durham is actively looking for a dedicated and enthusiastic Sales Porter to become an integral part of our dynamic team. In this critical role, the Sales Porter will be responsible for creating an exceptional first impression for our clients as soon as they arrive at the dealership. Your primary responsibilities will include managing vehicle presentation and organization, ensuring that all cars are clean and properly displayed, and assisting customers with their needs during their visit.
You will be a key player in upholding the dealership's high standards of service and hospitality, contributing to a welcoming atmosphere that enhances the overall customer experience. Additionally, you will collaborate closely with the sales team, facilitating smooth vehicle transitions and providing support as needed.
Your attention to detail, positive attitude, and commitment to excellence will help us maintain the prestigious reputation of the BMW brand while ensuring that every customer feels valued and appreciated.
Key Responsibilities
- Ensure vehicles are clean and presentable for customers and staff.
- Coordinate vehicle movement between the dealership lot and showroom areas
- Assist with customer test drives by retrieving and positioning vehicles
- Provide support to staff by delivering vehicles to designated areas.
- Support vehicle deliveries by ensuring cars are clean, fueled, charged, and adequately staged.
- Assist with dealer trades, licensing process, and other errands that support the sales process
- Provide shuttle services to sales customers as needed
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized dealership lot at all times.
- Monitor and report any vehicle damage or necessary repairs
Qualifications & Skills
- Valid G Driver's Licence with a clean driving record
- Ability to operate both manual and automatic transmissions
- Strong communication skills to interact effectively with clients and team members.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
- Bilingual skills are an asset, but not required.
- Experience in a luxury automotive dealership is a plus
Work Environment
- Must be able to work in all weather conditions
- Weekend and evening availability may be required
