Qualifications:
- Successful completion of a Post Secondary Program preferred
- Graduate of Health Sciences Program preferred
Principal Duties:
Stores and issues materials, supplies, equipment, and linen; takes inventories; recommends modification to quotas; compiles stock records
- Unpacks or uncrates items received
- Inspects items for damage or defects
- Verifies accuracy of shipments by counting, weighing, or measuring items and comparing size, weight, description, code numbers to invoice or packing slip and purchase order
- Records or reports discrepancies or damage in shipment and signs bills of lading
- Carries or conveys by hand truck
- Periodically takes physical count of stock on hand and verifies count with inventory controls totals
- Uses computerized inventory system
- Receives requests for supplies, selects stock inventory, distributes supplies to designated areas
- Delivers Linens to user departments according to pre-established par levels and schedules
- Uses handheld scanner to order and track supplies
- Communicates regularly with PROcure
- Follow-up on back-ordered items
- Other related duties as assigned
