We are looking for an Office Administrative Assistant to join the Al Yousef team!
We are a transportation and distribution company that have been in business for 30+ years. We are growing and looking for someone with a strong background in logistics who can streamline processes and procedures as well as create new and efficient methods to support demand as we move forward. This person will need to work well under pressure, consider a multitude of variables daily to create schedules that are efficient, cost-effective, and achievable.
Success in this role will require strong communication, problem-solving skills and the ability to work with others. The successful candidate will work closely with our team drivers, mechanics, management, and customers to ensure on-time delivery and customer satisfaction while maintaining safety and regulatory compliance.
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Schedule delivery of trucks daily within a multitude of complex variables
- Maintain accurate records and all required documentation, providing regular reports.
- Own and build on our current processes and procedures to support a large increase in demand, as we grow as a company.
- Build and maintain strong customer relationships, maintaining open communication to ensure resource optimization, cost efficiency and customer satisfaction.
- Communicate effectively with drivers, providing clear instructions, addressing any concerns, while maintaining a positive and professional relationship
- Proactively identify and plan for potential problems such as equipment breakdowns, weather interference and other factors that can affect a schedule completion.
- Adhere to all Al Yousef’s health and safety policies and procedures, as well as government, MTO regulations.
- Participate in company training.
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- High School Diploma, or equivalent
- Post-Secondary education is an asset.
- Education in Logistics is an asset.
Knowledge & Experience
- Experience working in a complex logistics role.
- Exceptional customer service skills.
- Advanced analytical and problem-solving skills.
- A strong geographical understanding.
- Must have a high attention to detail and ability to multi-task.
- Working knowledge of logistics and inventory management
- Working knowledge of Microsoft 365
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced dynamic environment.
- Strong written, and verbal communication skills.
Ability to Commute/relocate:
- Mississauga, ON L5T 1C4: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)
Job Types: Permanent, Full-time
Salary: $41,000.00-$52,000.00 per year
