Duties
- Greet patients and visitors warmly, providing excellent front desk service in a professional manner
- Schedule appointments accurately using electronic medical records systems such as ACCURO.
- Verify patient insurance information and update records accordingly
- Answer multi-line phone systems promptly, directing calls to appropriate staff members
- Manage electronic medical records with precision, ensuring confidentiality and compliance with privacy regulations
- Assist with patient check-in and check-out procedures, including collecting payments and updating personal information
- Support clinical staff by preparing exam rooms, sterilizing equipment, and handling administrative paperwork
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Medical Office Assistant or Dental Receptionist in a busy healthcare setting
- Strong knowledge of medical terminology and dental terminology to effectively communicate with patients and staff
- Familiarity with electronic health record systems such as Epic or Dentrix is highly preferred
- Previous dental office experience is advantageous but not mandatory
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to multitask efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- Proficiency in managing multi-line phone systems and office equipment
- Demonstrated ability to maintain confidentiality and adhere to privacy standards
