Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Food Service Supervisor to oversee daily operations in our food service establishment. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills and a passion for delivering exceptional customer service. Duties
- Supervise daily food service operations, ensuring adherence to quality and safety standards.
- Oversee food preparation and cooking processes, maintaining consistency in presentation and taste.
- Manage inventory control, including ordering supplies and monitoring stock levels.
- Train, develop, and mentor staff in food handling, customer service, and operational procedures.
- Utilize POS systems (Aloha POS, Micros POS) for cash handling and transaction management.
- Implement effective shift management practices to ensure smooth operations during peak hours.
- Conduct interviews and assist in hiring new team members to build a skilled workforce.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen and dining areas in compliance with health regulations.
- Collaborate with management on budgeting, menu planning, and special events or catering services.
- Foster a team-oriented environment that encourages collaboration and high performance.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in food service management or supervisory roles within quick service, fast food, casual dining, or fine dining establishments.
- Strong culinary skills with knowledge of food production techniques and safety standards.
- Excellent leadership abilities with experience in team management and training & development.
- Familiarity with cash handling procedures and POS systems.
- Exceptional customer service skills with the ability to handle guest inquiries effectively.
- Background in hospitality management or kitchen management is preferred.
- Knowledge of budgeting practices related to food service operations is an asset.
