Overview
The Guelph Family Health Team (FHT) is seeking a detail-oriented Sr. Bookkeeper to support our finance function on a 1-year contract. The Senior Bookkeeper is responsible for the full-cycle accounting and day-to-day financial operations of the organization. This role ensures accurate financial records, timely reporting, regulatory compliance, and strong internal controls. The Senior Bookkeeper works collaboratively with leadership to support financial transparency, budget monitoring, and operational decision-making.
Key Responsibilities:
- Full-cycle accounting
- Fianancial reporting and compliance
- Cash flow & Banking
- Identify and implement process improvements for efficiency and accuracy using Sage 50
- Train and support junior finance staff as required
Supportive, team-based environmentQualifications:
- 5+ years of progressive bookkeeping/ accounting experience
- Sage 50 proficiency (required)
- Experience in not-for-profit and/or government-funded environments is an asset
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently
