We are hiring a full-time permanent role of Senior Manager, Philanthropy (Asian Community) with a competitive salary ranging from $88,000 to $105,000 per annum, depending on experience and qualifications.

The Senior Manager, Philanthropy (Asian Community) will inspire the participation of a committed donor community in a milestone project – the redevelopment of the Richmond Hospital campus. This is a crucial role in shaping the future of health care in Richmond by engaging our diverse community.
Key responsibilities include:

Lead major gift fundraising efforts, cultivating relationships, and soliciting donations from prospective donors.

Develop and manage a portfolio of 100 to 150+ major gift prospects/donors, ensuring personalized and effective stewardship.

Collaborate with key volunteers, including Board members and Chinese Giving Ambassadors, to expand donor networks.

Represent the Foundation at select events, speaking on behalf of the organization.

Provide leadership and support to the Philanthropy Officer and Coordinator.

Ensure the accuracy and cultural sensitivity of the Foundation’s Chinese marketing materials.

Organize donor-focused events tailored to the Chinese community.
Skills and Experience:

Business Degree and/or professional certification (e.g. CFRE).

3+ years of major gifts fundraising experience with a track record of securing $25,000+ donations.

Leadership experience in a non-profit environment, with expertise in “moves management.”

Deep understanding of the local Asian community and cultural nuances.

Proficiency in Cantonese, Mandarin, and English, with strong skills in Chinese character writing.

Experience with Chinese social media platforms, particularly WeChat.

A valid driver’s license is required.
