Magnum 2000 Inc., a manufacturer of precision machined parts located in Oakville, is looking for an entry-level Quality Engineer Associate. The successful candidate will work in all aspects of our operations and support our Quality Manager and Plant Manager in a multi-discipline role. This is an excellent role for gaining hands-on experience and learning the fundamentals of precision machining for automotive parts.
Major Responsibilities:
Quality-Related
- Provide support to the production team concerning quality-related concerns and troubleshooting solutions.
- Maintenance and auditing of the Quality Assurance System (TS16949).
- Participates in cross-functional teams. 5S, 8D team, APQP, Material Review Board.
- Involvement in the Production Part Approval Process (PPAP) and performing statistical studies.
- Assist with all aspects of the audit process, including Process, Product, System, and Safety audits, as they relate to our quality system.
- In-process approval of manufactured products.
- Develop and analyze work instructions for our manufacturing processes.
- Collecting, analyzing, and implementing corrective actions based on internal and external quality performance feedback. This includes documenting corrective actions and continuous improvement activities.
Engineering Related
- Create and maintain product and layout drawings in Solid Works.
- Use statistical tools to understand measurement data trends and process outputs better.
- Work with production supervisors to document and create work instructions for manufacturing processes.
- Ensure operators follow the procedures, tool change schedules, and SPC. Train as needed.
Requirements
- University degree in Engineering or College Technologist degree.
- Ability to interpret engineering drawings and math, including GD&T
- 1-3 years of experience
- Experience with metal fabrication manufacturing processes.
- Solid Works proficient
- Knowledge of tooling, fixtures, and measurement equipment
- Strong written and oral communication skills and ability to work on multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.

Pay: $50,000.00-$60,000.00 per year
