Reporting to the Vice President of Taxation, the Tax manager will be responsible for the corporate income tax accounting, planning and compliance matters throughout the organization, he will also be delivering value through supporting business transations, identifying opportunities and engaging in special projects. He will be working in collaboration with Fiera’s various subsidiaries to ensure compliance.
Prepare or review quarterly income tax provisions for Fiera group throughout various jurisdictions;
Prepare or review income tax returns for Fiera group throughout various jurisdictions;
Implement and manage global tax compliance and planning strategies;
Provide and coordinate tax advice on transaction in different jurisdictions;
Research and document tax positions in respect of various tax transactions;
Act as a liaison between the tax department and other departments and Fiera entities;
Coordinate external tax advisors.
Must have requirements to be successful in this role:
A minimum of 5 years of Canadian Corporate tax experience;
Reviewing Tax accounting provisions;
Exposure to US and International Tax an asset;
A professional accounting designation or other related experience or relevant certification;
Highly motivated individual with a desire for growth;
Collaborative, proactive, and takes ownership of work;
Experience in managing conflicting demands and priorities;
Strong proficiency with computer applications:
MS Office and tax preparation software;
Bilingualism (working knowledge of French and English).
