Position Summary
Reporting to the Production Supervisor and located 100% on site at 2 Walker Drive, Brampton, Ontario this position will require to perform various duties of assembly. The major tasks will involve using rivets, installing components, and ensuring the quality and timely production of products while adhering to safety and manufacturing standards.

Applicants must not hold a forklift license as this position does not require forklift operation.

This role is not suitable for students due to the physical demands and full-time nature of the position.
Responsibilities

Responsible for following instructions on a Material Data Sheet, under the direction of the Lead Hand.

Read and interpret blueprints, diagrams, and assembly instructions to perform assembly tasks.

Utilize hand tools such as drills, C clamps, measuring tapes, hand screwdrivers, and saws to assemble elevator components.

Use rivets and other fastening methods to assemble components securely.

Ensure all assembled products meet quality standards and specifications.

Collaborate with team members and supervisors to ensure efficient workflow and production targets are met.

Positions parts according to drawings.

Fastens parts together with bolts, screws, speed clips, rivets, or other fasteners to assemble components for final assembly.

Install and connect all associated control wiring.

Checking the parts and troubleshooting and perform any rewiring if needed.

Maintain a clean and organized workspace to ensure safety and efficiency.

Follow all safety protocols and guidelines to maintain a safe working environment.

Proven experience as a General Assembler or similar role in a manufacturing environment, preferably in the elevator or related industry.

Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings.

Strong attention to detail and quality.

Good communication skills and ability to follow instructions accurately.

Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.

Must have the ability to perform all tasks with minimum supervision.

The work environment of this job has the employee regularly exposed to moving mechanical parts and is exposed to vibration from grinder. The employee works in a plant manufacturing facility that is regulated by heat in the cold months and flow through air in the warm months.
