AREA: Financial Services & IT
CLASSIFICATION: IT Administrator – 1 Permanent Full-Time (75.00 Hours bi-weekly).
POSITION SCOPE:
Responsible to the Director of Finance & IT, the IT Administrator provides day‑to‑day administration, maintenance, and support of organizational information technology systems. The role ensures reliable operation, security, and availability of IT infrastructure, applications, and end‑user tools while supporting staff and operational requirements across the organization. In addition, map out both the ICT (Information and Communications Technology) strategy and ICT policies for the Organization. Overtime required as needed.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Administers and supports organizational IT systems, including servers, workstations, mobile devices, networks, and printers
Provides first‑ and second‑level technical support to staff, troubleshooting hardware, software, connectivity, and access issues
Manages user accounts, permissions, and access controls across systems and applications, ensuring compliance with privacy and security requirements
Maintains system performance, backups, updates, and patching schedules to support continuity of operations
ICT equipment and services procurement, liaises with external IT vendors, service providers, and software vendors as required
Maintains accurate IT documentation, inventories, and procedures
Supports cybersecurity practices including endpoint protection, password controls, and incident response
Assists with IT projects, system upgrades, and implementations in collaboration with management and external partners
Manage and maintain video surveillance equipment and access
Manage and maintain phone system, including paging system
Manage internal and external websites
Performs other related duties as required.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Diploma or Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related discipline, or an equivalent combination of education and experience. A minimum of five years experience in IT administration, systems support, or a related role is required. Experience working in a multi‑site or service‑based environment is considered an asset. Strong problem‑solving and analytical skills while working under pressure. Ability to manage competing priorities and respond effectively to service demands. Strong working knowledge of desktop and server operating systems, Microsoft 365 productivity platforms, networking fundamentals, Active Directory, and endpoint management. Ability to work effectively with cloud‑based applications, ticketing systems, documentation tools, and mobile devices.
