ASCENSION ROOFING LTD. is hiring! We are looking for permanent, full-time, experienced Sheet Metal Workers / Metal Roofers to join our growing team. Our head office is located in Langford, B.C., with job sites located across the Greater Victoria area and the Gulf Islands.
If you have a strong background in architectural sheet metal, standing seam fabrication, and metal roofing systems, we want to hear from you.
Primary duties:
- Operate roofing panel machines to manufacture standing seam panels, custom clips, and flashings.
- Install residential and commercial sheet metal flashings, metal roofing systems, cladding, and siding.
- Assist with the removal and installation of alternative roofing systems when required (including torch-on, shingles, cedar).
- Set up scaffolding, ladders, staging, and fall-protection equipment in strict accordance with WorkSafeBC regulations.
- Measure roof areas accurately to create precise material and cutting lists.
- Use a variety of specialized hand and power tools to ensure all work meets BC Building Code and RCABC standards.
- Delegate or assist with tear-off, site clean-up, and maintaining a safe, organized workspace.
Candidate Requirements
- Minimum of three (3) years of experience in sheet metal work or metal roofing systems. (A 2nd-year Sheet Metal or Roofing Apprentice certificate is also highly valued).
- Strong work ethic, comfortable working at heights, and the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
- Trade certification (Journeyperson) is considered a major asset.
- Must have reliable means to transport yourself to various job sites. A valid driver’s license is a strong asset.
What We Offer
- Wage: $30.00 to $40.00 per hour, highly competitive and negotiable based on your experience.
