Job Overview
We are seeking a Commercial Cleaner preferably located in Milton to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining cleanliness and order in various commercial settings, ensuring all areas are hygienic, presentable, and meet our quality standards.
Shifts are primarily on weekends (daytime and evenings), with occasional weekday evening shifts available. Each shift ranges from approximately 2-6 hours. The candidate must be comfortable working alone in buildings after store hours.
Duties
- Perform routine cleaning tasks, including sweeping, mopping, dusting, and vacuuming floors
- Clean and sanitize restrooms, kitchens, and break areas to maintain high standards of hygiene
- Empty trash receptacles and dispose of waste properly
- Maintain cleaning supply inventory and notify management of shortages or needed supplies
- Follow established cleaning protocols and safety guidelines to ensure a safe working environment
- Assist with special cleaning projects as needed, such as deep cleaning or post-event clean-ups
- Communicate effectively with team members and report any maintenance or safety issues promptly
- Able to work alone and drive to cleaning locations
Skills and Qualifications
- Experience in custodial or commercial cleaning is an asset but not required (training will be provided)
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions accurately
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Good time management skills to complete tasks efficiently
- Knowledge of cleaning chemicals and supplies is an advantage
- Physical stamina to perform manual labor for extended periods
- Must have a reliable vehicle and a clean driving record
- A standard criminal background check will be required before hiring
