Why is this role important?
The R&D team within Health Data Products & Services (HDPS) team at Loblaw is hiring a Data Science Health COOP. The R&D team focuses on exploring and developing deep insights from our data to empower Canadians to take control of their health by improving navigation of health services, access to care and health outcomes.
The successful candidate will have a passion for solving health-related data science problems using the most advanced AI/ML tools. The candidate will demonstrate strong analytical and research skills and be a self-starter who has passion for providing data solutions to improve and transform various aspects of the enterprise health businesses.
What You'll Do:
Support the R&D team’s effort to identify deep relationship(s) between prescription data and health outcomes using advanced ML skills
Provide above support using ML tool-stack in GCP environment
Communicate approaches, findings, and recommendations in the form of written communication, using tools such as Confluence and JIRA, and regular stand-up sessions
Strictly adhere to legal and compliance guidelines regarding access and exposure to sensitive and confidential information
