Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and organized Dental Receptionist to join our team. The ideal candidate will be the first point of contact for our patients, providing exceptional customer service while managing the front desk operations of our dental office. This role requires proficiency in medical terminology, familiarity with dental software, and strong administrative skills to ensure a smooth patient experience.
Responsibilities
- Greet and check in patients as they arrive at the dental office.
- Manage appointment scheduling and confirmations using Dentrix or similar dental software.
- Answer phone calls promptly, addressing patient inquiries and directing calls as necessary.
- Maintain accurate electronic medical records (EMR) for all patients.
- Process patient information and insurance claims efficiently.
- Assist with billing inquiries and payment processing at the front desk.
- Ensure the reception area is clean, organized, and welcoming for patients.
- Collaborate with dental staff to coordinate patient care and manage office flow.
Experience
- Previous experience as a Dental Receptionist or in a similar administrative role within a healthcare setting is preferred.
- Familiarity with medical terminology related to dentistry is essential.
- Proficient in using phone systems and electronic medical records (EMR) software; experience with Epic is a plus.
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail to manage multiple tasks effectively.
- Excellent communication skills to interact professionally with patients and staff.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining a positive attitude.
