Job Description
ADGA is hiring a SharePoint Specialist to work on a large-scale defence program that ADGA manages for the Canadian Federal Government. The SharePoint Specialist must assist in delivering and maintaining the Engineering Information System (EIS) collaborative environment (CE) called EIS-CE; which commonly refers to all the necessary Hardware and Software Services, from network appliances to servers, to enterprise Software applications residing on the EIS network hosted at a controlled facility. ADGA is looking for a SharePoint Specialist who is a strong team player, has good communication skills, can work well with our client, has experience writing requirements and design specs, and uses defect tracking systems.
We are looking for a SharePoint Specialist with experience in the following areas:

Experience with SharePoint site development and management with SharePoint 2013 and 2016.
-
Experience writing use cases and technical system design specifications.
-
Experience with SharePoint upgrades such as 2013 to 2016 and 2016 to 2019.
-
Experience with SharePoint user ticket resolution.
-
Experience with SharePoint security patching.
-
Ideally, the SharePoint Specialist has knowledge of Microsoft Project Server. Experience with SQL Server.

Experience implementing a new SharePoint infrastructure into multiple distinct environments with a workflow engine on Windows Server and SQL Server.
-
Experience with automated extraction and import solutions for content migration using PowerShell (or similar).
-
Experience developing custom solutions in Visual Studio.NET.
-
Experience developing browser-based InfoPath forms and workflows for managing departmental-specific processes, content and tasks.
-
Experience developing WSP Packages, custom web parts and user controls and designing custom workflows and notifications for managing business workflows (i.e. tasks, approvals, receipt of material).

Experience with 3rd party Webpart integration (i.e. Bamboo), and custom WebPart development using MS Visual Studio.

Experience using SharePoint Designer for Workflow and list development.

Experience using VMware ESX 6.5+ virtualized environment settings.

Ideally, the SharePoint Specialist has experience with ETL and reporting processes using aggregate data from various applications hosted using Excel Services.

Ideally the SharePoint Specialist has experience supporting back-end databases used for RTM/RQM, PasswordState, Fortify and EPO, CQWeb.

Specific experience/knowledge with the following list of tools, systems, applications, and equipment is highly desirable:

Qualifications
A minimum of a college diploma (2-year minimum) in networking, software, computer, systems, electrical, or a suitable engineering or another technical field to support the program.
A minimum of 4 years of demonstrated experience within the last 6 years with a minimum of 3 of the following:

Planning, configuring, employing and managing command and control communication and information systems in a distributed platform environment or within a client/server environment, or ISTAR systems.
-
Identifying, analyzing and resolving complex communication and information system and/or ISTAR system problems.
-
Analyzing, designing and/or implementing solutions for communication and information systems or ISTAR systems.
-
Developing and documenting system management solutions (tools and processes) for command and control communication and information systems in mobile platforms or within a client/server environment, or ISTAR systems.
-
System integration, verification and validation, for hardware and software components (COTS and/or custom-developed) in new or existing systems.
-
Life-cycle management of tactical communication and information systems, or ISTAR systems.
A minimum of 2 years of experience as a System Specialist on Military C4ISR systems
A minimum of 6 years of experience within the last 8 years preparing technical concept documents, system specifications, and technical proposals in the field of Information Technology / Information management or engineering.
A minimum of 4 years of demonstrated experience within the last 6 years with a minimum of 3 of the following:

Communicating information technology frameworks/ strategies to management and technical staff.

Communicating system engineering direction for projects or systems.

Providing advice, guidance and recommendations on technical issues to support the decision-making of senior management.

Participating in multidisciplinary teams in the development of IT tactical systems, frameworks or strategies.

Performing strategic, operational or tactical planning for projects or systems to meet corporate strategy.
