Long-Term Nanny — Downtown Vancouver | $35–$40/hr on payroll
A lovely family relocating from New York is looking for a long-term nanny for their four year old, plus their friendly dog.
Location: Downtown Vancouver — the family will be in temporary housing for the first 3 months, then will find their permanent home.
Please note before applying — this role has two firm requirements:
You must be a genuine dog lover. Dog care is a daily part of this job, not an extra: every shift starts with a dog walk (some days more than one), plus feeding and fresh water. If dogs aren't your thing, this won't be the right fit.
You must hold a valid driver's licence and be a confident driver. Daily driving is part of the role for activity and class drop-offs. You do NOT need your own car, the family provides their car.
The details:
- Schedule: Monday to Friday, 12:30pm–7:30pm, plus one evening a week for a date night (35 hours/week)
- Start: First week of October
- Pay: $35–$40/hr, set up properly on payroll, with a paid trial first
- Duties: Activity and class drop-offs, meals and snacks, engaged imaginative play, tidying up after the little one, and the daily dog care described above
To be considered, you must have (or be willing to obtain):
- A clear criminal record check including vulnerable sector screening
- Current CPR-C / First Aid certification
- Two strong childcare references
- Solid prior childcare experience
- Legal ability to work in Canada
Pay: $34.00-$40.00 per hour
Work Location: In person
