The mission of Canada’s Children’s Hospital Foundations (CCHF) is to do what is right for children, so they live their healthiest, most fulfilling lives. Established in 2017, CCHF is a non-profit organization that raises funds for a national network of children’s hospital foundations. As the largest single, non-government funder of child health in Canada, CCHF continues to receive generous support through donors within Children’s Miracle Network® as well as contributions from additional companies and partners.
POSITION OVERVIEW
Reporting to the Vice-President, Partnerships, the Coordinator, Corporate Partnerships is an important member of the CCHF team in delivering on the organizational strategy by providing administrative and coordination support to the Corporate Partnerships team, contributing to and enabling fundraising. Every member of the CCHF team contributes to our success in raising funds whilst collaborating with other members of the CCHF team, Member Foundations and Corporate Partners.
This role will entail a combination of office and work from home environments, with employees transitioning to working 2-3 days per week at our Toronto office. Occasional travel to fundraising activities and events, meetings, conferences, and training opportunities within Canada and USA will be required. Evening & weekend work may be required.
As a CCHF Employee, you will:
- Act as a positive contributor to the CCHF vision, mission, values, and culture
- Work collaboratively with CCHF staff, Member Foundations, Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals (CMNH), partners, suppliers, and other stakeholders to gain buy-in in an environment of competing priorities
- Demonstrate an entrepreneurial sprit and growth mindset to contribute to strategic partnerships which deliver revenue growth
- Act as a skilled problem solver that thrives in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities and quickly respond to the needs of partners and/or stakeholders in well-thought out and workable solutions
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Team Administrative Support
- Maintain Salesforce partner records, SharePoint and Sandbox folders and documents
- Support New Business Development efforts, e.g. filing, scheduling meetings, basic research
- Provide support for CCHF/CMN programs, i.e. prepare and distribute fundraising and participant reports
- Reconcile fundraising and tax receipt totals with cash received
- Assist with gathering and tracking of performance data, and quarterly reports to enable department Quarterly Forecasts (cash and data totals)
- Provide administrative support to the Corporate Partnerships team as required, including but not limited to processing related invoices, team expenses, etc.
- Campaign Execution and Event Support
- Work closely with Corporate Partnerships leaders in the coordination of consistent and timely materials, as assigned to support: Campaign Kickoffs, Campaign Launches, Campaign Debriefs, Partner Meetings, Partner Call Reports
- Support the development of annual Partner Plan documents and presentations by setting up templates and entering information provided by the Corporate Partnership leaders
- Maintain and update the Annual Campaign Calendar, Store Lists, Partner Contacts, Partner and Member Foundation Meeting Calendar, and Process documentation
- Prepare partner meeting presentations to support partner updates, annual meetings, and top to top meetings, utilizing templates and information provided by Corporate Partnerships team
- Support the execution of various partner events and golf tournaments, e.g. confirming partner attendance, preparing participant bios, executive briefs, and coordination of fundraising activities
- Prepare donor correspondence and communications, as directed to support and cultivate relationships with Corporate Partners, donors and stakeholders and assist in documenting campaign and event-related call reports
- Stakeholder Engagement and Communication
- Prepare monthly partner summary and Member Foundation meeting slides with information provided by Corporate Partner team members
- Serve as primary contact for Partner and Program inquiries, consulting with team as required, including calendars, campaign activations, store lists, and contacts
- Other projects and duties as assigned
QUALIFICATIONS
- Post-secondary diploma in Business or related field
- 1-3 years of related experience in fundraising, donor/event management, public relations, marketing, or other related function
- Experience with CRM systems, e.g. Salesforce
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) or other professional presentation software
- Management of donor cycle (identification, cultivation, solicitation, activation, and stewardship)
- Relationship building, customer service skills, exhibiting professionalism, diplomacy, tact and composure
- Effective communication skills, verbal and written; ability to adapt communication to respond to a wide variety of stakeholders and audiences
- Attention to detail
- Organization, project management and time management skills to prioritize effectively and meet deliverables
- Ability to independently address varied situations that arise, seeking direction, as required
Ability to manage sensitive and confidential information, exercising good judgement in diverse situations
