Event Volunteer

The Town of Bradford West Gwillimbury’s Events Team is looking for enthusiastic and dedicated volunteers to assist with a variety of events hosted by the Town’s Leisure Services Division, starting in Setpember for the Fall 2026 season and continuing beyond. Volunteering with the Town of Bradford West Gwillimbury is a rewarding way to gain valuable experience, community service hours, contribute to the community, and make a difference in the lives of residents. Opportunities are available year-round, across a range of in-person events.
Volunteers help the Town of Bradford West Gwillimbury deliver a higher level of service and create memorable experiences for residents. They enhance event productivity and quality, offer opportunities to build leadership and teamwork skills, and foster community engagement and civic responsibility.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Assist with town-led community events that serve residents of all ages and abilities.
- Support event set-up, delivery, and clean-up.
- Provide excellent customer service to participants and address inquiries professionally and courteously.
- Work collaboratively with staff, instructors, and other volunteers to ensure events run smoothly.
- Contribute to a safe, inclusive, and positive environment for all participants.
Volunteer Qualifications
- Minimum 14 years of age
- An interest in community events and service
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Willingness to follow instructions and work as part of a team
- Ability to commit to scheduled shifts
- Reliable and punctual
- Ability to promote a culture of inclusiveness and work with a diverse population of employees, participants, agencies and the public.
