French Language Teacher/ Part-time. French as a Second Language. Starting September 2024

Qualifications:
- Alberta Teaching Certificate
- Must be fluent (reading, writing and speaking) in French and English
- Strong organizational skills and ability to multi-task with confidence
- Excellent classroom management skills
- Creativity and independence in lesson planning skills
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills
- Knowledge /or interest in learning about Waldorf pedagogy preferred
Salary and Benefits:
- For instruction of elementary French for grades 1-5. Approx 10 classes per week. Likely days are Wednesdays and Thursdays from 11:00am- 3:30 pm though this is subject to adjustment if any scheduling changes are necessary for upcoming school year.
- Additional substitute teaching hours are available for class teaching (Kindergarten-grade 9) if additional work is desired.
- Competitive salary. Components of compensation as outlined are presented according to a 1.0 FTE. All compensation, inclusive of salary, benefits, statutory/provincial holidays, paid time off and sick leave where applicable will be adjusted accordingly to align with the FTE of the position. Employees working .5 FTE or greater are eligible for our comprehensive Employee Health Benefits Program.

Responsibilities:
- Providing reports for parents during parent-teacher interviews
- Attend faculty/committee meetings, school events, seasonal fairs, and in-service training as required
- Ensure that all Equivalent Learning Outcome documentation is up to date as required by Alberta Education
